Pricing and billing

What a mailbox costs, how the free trial works, and what happens when payment stops.

What it costs

Price$2.00 per mailbox, per month
Storage10 GB per mailbox
IncludedWebmail with calendar and contacts, IMAP, SMTP, CalDAV and CardDAV, SPF/DKIM/DMARC handling
BilledMonthly, by number of mailboxes

You are charged for the mailboxes that exist, not for how much mail they carry. Deleting a mailbox lowers the count from the next invoice.

Free trial

The first 7 days are free, for up to 2 mailboxes. A card is asked for at the start, so that when the trial ends your mail keeps working instead of stopping.

  • The mailboxes are fully working during the trial: they receive, send and are authenticated like any other.
  • Creating more than 2 mailboxes during the trial requires a paid subscription.
  • When the trial ends, billing starts for the mailboxes that exist, at the price above. Nothing else changes; the mailboxes keep working.

When payment stops

Mailboxes are suspended, not deleted. Suspended means sign-in and delivery stop; the stored mail stays.

  1. Payment fails or the trial ends. Mailboxes are suspended. Mail addressed to them is refused at the door rather than accepted and lost.
  2. You settle it. Mailboxes are reactivated automatically, with their contents intact.
  3. Nothing happens for a long time. Data is kept through the retention window and only then removed. The panel warns before that point.

If you also use Quathos Mailer

Mailbox hosting is billed here, on its own subscription. Quathos Mailer is a separate product, with its own plan and its own invoice. The two never draw from each other.

  • Mail sent from a mailbox never counts against a Mailer plan, and Mailer volume never adds mailboxes.
  • Mailboxes are charged per mailbox per month, whether or not any mail moves.
  • Each product issues its own invoice.
